Meet the Doctor

Dr. Keeney

Dr. Susan Keeney has practiced small animal medicine for 28 years, 26 of them in Las Vegas. She was also the first female veterinarian in Las Vegas to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in the Canine & Feline Specialty. Her particular interests are internal medicine, especially endocrinology (hormone medicine such as diabetes, thyroid problems and steroid problems) and spaying and neutering to help prevent pet over-population. Dr. Keeney believes in training, socialization and preventative medicine and strives to provide high-quality and patient-friendly service medicine. She is always looking to better herself, her hospital, and her medicine.

Dr. Keeney's love of dogs has followed her home with a pack of 5 fur babies: Stripes, a loving 14 year old Rat Terrier Mix, Joie, a food motivated 10 year old Rottweiler Mix, Ultimate, a 7 1/2 year old frisbee chasing Border Whippet Mix, Ozzie, a 16 year old spunky Cairn Terrier and the newest addition, Dobby, a 9 year old vocal Dachshund Mix.  In addition to her love of animals, Dr. Keeney enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking and playing ultimate frisbee.

Dr. Keeney can be reached by email at [email protected].

Relief Veterinarians

Since Dr. Keeney is the owner and main veterinarian at Siena Animal Hospital, we get outside help throughout the week. Our Relief Veterinarians are trusted, work well with our staff and have been working with us for some time.
