Welcome

As Siena Animal Hospital celebrates its 8 year anniversary this month, we thought we would start our blogs with a brief history lesson. Dr. Susan Keeney and her husband started with the idea of a high quality small animal hospital when, in 2005, they purchased the land on which Siena Animal Hospital now stands. The animal hospital was the first building constructed on this corner.

They knew the community of Southwest Las Vegas would grow, and they were eager to serve the new and blossoming neighborhoods. After construction of the 5,000 square foot hospital, Siena proudly opened its doors on August 7, 2007. Dr. Keeney and the staff have strived to create and maintain a warm, friendly place for you and your pets as well as to offer exemplary service in both medicine and surgery.

In addition to medical and surgical services, Siena also offers boarding with large runs and a beautiful outdoor area with grass and misters. The dogs are all allowed play time outside and many of our regular boarders are quite happy, they have learned the routine so that no leashes are needed as they know where to go for food and play. The cats also have their luxury space and are allowed 'window seating' and free roaming in our spacious cat room.

The staff loves to show off the beautiful facility. Anyone is welcome at any time during regular business hours to come in for a tour of Siena Animal Hospital. Transparency and an 'open door' policy enhance the Veterinarian-Patient-Client relationship that the doctors and staff work hard to develop and maintain. This relationship results in the best communication with you and the best care for your pet.

Our mission statement: "Siena Animal Hospital is committed to enhancing the quality of life of our patients by compassionately providing superior veterinary care as well as professional, educational, and personalized service for their guardians."

Through the last 8 years, Siena Animal Hospital has continued to grow and learn how best to care for its pets and clients. Our associate D.V.M., Dr. Kerri Hampe, will be adding a new dimension in Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy to Siena's many services. This continual growth will make your pet's health even more successful as we continue to care for the pets of South Summerlin and surrounding communities.
